The American Library Association designates the CGS publication SP-53, Ground Water Atlas of Colorado as a 2004 Notable Document. Only 5 other states had a document so designated. It is with real pleasure that I congratulate your agency on the outstanding publication chosen as a Notable Document in the 2003 annual Library Journal review. As you can see from teh enclosed article, very few documents are selected, so this is a true accomplishment.

Those of us who work with government information on a daily basis are well aware of the quality and importance of such publications and web sites, but the article's appearance in Library journal reaches many librarians ina variety of situations who might otherwise never collect or use these.
